Projects are chosen and prioritised by Community Panels and Forum. Community Planning - Avenues and Hollins Consultations on environmental improvements have been carried out as part of wider consultations on future ownership of estates. Projects from this will be developed in the next year for implementation in future years. Community Planning - Coppice Priorities and potential projects include Tudor Street open space, St Thomas’ Circle, linkages and improvement to entrance at Werneth Park. Community Planning - Freehold Project to upgrade the access road to adoptable standards. Community Planning – Hollins Road Hollinwood Community Panel is considering the priorities for spend for Hollins Road. Priorities agreed are Road Safety Scheme for Hollins Road, derelict/vacant shops; Community Centre feasibility study and retail focus. Hartford Mill and Area Study Report on the development of Hartford Mill site and the surrounding area received and presented to the Board – now under discussion and awaiting outcome of Housing Renewal Fund strategy from OMBC. Key Sites Initiative Environmental improvements at key employment sites Research & Development: Development Work On Education Programmes Secondment of member of staff in the Education Department of OMBC to carry out research and consultation into Pre 16 education projects, which lead to the development of the Pre 16 projects. Project now complete. Lime Lane Highway Improvement Scheme Project to upgrade the access road to adoptable standards. Oxford Street Retail Zone Improvements to the central shopping area of Freehold including surfacing, street furniture, landscaping and other potential elements such as lighting, gateway features and seating areas. Research & Development: Hollinwood Estate SRB6 contributed to consultations on future options for Hollinwood Estate. Report now complete. Research & Development: Review of Community Facilities Review of Community facilities completed. Directory available upon request. Research & Development: Stock Condition Survey Stock condition survey on 400 private sector dwellings, to include information on: building conditions, energy efficiency and socio-economic profiling. Project now complete Research and Development: Neighbourhood Regeneration Company Research into potential legal structures and finances for proposed local regeneration company. Residents Survey The project commissioned a MORI survey of residents aged 16+ in the SRB6 Area. Resurfacing of Rear Alleyways Project to tidy up and resurface selected back alleys in Freehold and Coppice. Spatial Masterplan Purpose was to set out a vision for the SRB6 area, provide a framework for future development and regeneration, and to make recommendations on themes and projects ideas. Report now complete Werneth Hall Road Retail Zone Improvements to the central shopping area of Coppice including surfacing, street furniture, landscaping and other potential elements such as lighting, gateway features and sitting areas.
