“All good things come to an end”, so the saying goes and the SRB6 Scheme was not an exception to the rule! However, SRB6 has unquestionably left a legacy of lasting improvements that will be evident for years to follow. The end of the scheme was marked on 31 March 2007 by a fantastic celebration event held in Werneth Park and blessed by a warm, bright sunshine. 
| More than 2,000 people descended on Werneth Park to mark the end of the scheme. A huge marquee comprising of SRB6 funded projects offering information, advice and guidance were present on the day, with activities, live entertainment, and a fun fair to help celebrate the scheme's work. Live performances from some of Oldham’s brightest talent kept the lively crowd entertained. Competitions included soccer penalty shoot-outs, a dance troupe dance-off, a bowling competition, and prize draws for both children and adults. , Buckley Bells Dance Troupe, Collettes Dance Troupe, new Generation Dance Troupe. Other Activities included Mehndi hand painting, Failsworth Amateur Boxing keep-fit sessions, and Gremlin’s MOT your own bike. The Chill Inn Youth Bus also made a stop offering its usual on-board activities including PCs, music facilities, and games consoles.
