Our objective is to enable residents to be safer

The Community Safety Strategy supports victims of crime as well as getting to the root causes of crime.

It works within the framework of the Crime and Disorder Partnership and OMBC's newly established Community Safety Team.

The wide programme of community safety initiatives include: advice, education, training, home or business security improvements.

Provides 'target hardening' advice and equipment to home owners to make their homes less susceptible to unlawful entry.

Project to install steel self locking gates at entrances to alleyways and passages behind properties to reduce the risk of burglary and anti-social behaviour.

Statutory measures that aim to protect the public from behaviour that causes, or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
